CORRUPTION CASE COMMITTED BY POLICE AND ADVOCATE

To His Excellency, The Lieutenant Governor, Raj Nivas, Puducherry. Respected Sir, Sub:Case of Corruption Committed by Mr.Sreedhar,S.I.of Police and Mr.Ambalavanan, Advocate- C.B.I arrest and production before the Principal and District Sessions Judge, Puducherry-Breach of Law and Order-Unruly Behaviour-Indulged By the Puducherry Police with the Connivance and support of the Higher Officials-Taking of Action under the various Laws-Immediately-Prayed. Rule of Law or Rule of Flaw in Puducherry

Few days ago, it was reported in the Newspaper that a Lawyer and a Sub-Inspector of Police were arrested by the C.B.I. near Manimegalai Higher Secondary School, puducherry, while the duo was receiving graft from a person, who said to have had a deal struck with them, to save him from the dragnet of Police in a Criminal Case filed by a Women complainant allegedly cheated, by arranging a trap for the man in the Uniform and the Advocate. As soon as the arrest occurred, the lawyers in support of the accused-advocate rushed to the scene, picked up quarrel with the C.B.I. Officers. With much difficulties the they took both of them for Interrogation and the next day produced in the Court of Sessions. The Judge granted bail to the Advocate and refused bail to the Sub-Inspector of Police. Meanwhile, the police personnel from all the Police Stations and Traffic Points deserted their place of duty and rushed to the Court Campus in a mass and agitated against the advocates.
