Dearer Commodity.

Recently, I had an occasion to listen to a discussion in the Electronic Media with leaders of some Political Parties sitting tight with the job of serious discussion on the disturbances in the state of Andhra.Oppsite to them were the Young Bright Indians nervously sitting and firing shots against them. Most of them were unanimous in their point of view that separation has no place in India.I am sorry! though they were educated elites, unable to grasp the ground reality and diferentiate between the scession and creation of a State within the Indian Union.

They stood to their ground and attacking the supporters of Telengana in strong words forgetting to listen to the Historical sacrifices made by the landless and other valiant people of Telengana, fighting the Zamindari System under the Nizam of Hyderabad. In fact, the Vallabhai Government at the Centre at that point of time, instead supporting the working class, joined hands with the oppressor and liquidated the freedom fighters in thousands. The suppressed history is not known to the younger generation. They are more often swayed away by popular beliefs and anectodes.

Only the proficency in Language and flow of words at their command help them to sit before the galoring media and not their depth in analysing the issues.Besides, the media also has a limited and prior set goal to deal with a subject of importance not to get caught by the Establishment suffering immense backlashes affecting their viability and continuity. An enlightened, upright Media standing audaciously against all odds in support of the struggling masses is a dearer commodity.
