 Is Nuclear Energy safe? Are there no alternatives to it?
The history of  nuke generation has given ample experiences for mankind.Firstly, the cost of generation is uneconomical.Secondly, its management coupled with inherent dangers for safety and lifelong precautions, outweighs utility. Even for going on stream, the plant requires electricity from power grid or generators to be used.

 From the point of view of modernisation and technological advancement in other areas, power generation through nuclear energy has also become attractive and viable proposition among scientific community.The thrust and taste shown in the sphere are comparitively more than the case of non-renewable source of energy.Electricity generation through windmills, from sea waves and abve all by tapping solar power have not been seriously undertaken though some token measures and symbolic approaches have set in motion.

 Investments in the alternatives over decades are not quite encouraging.Planners and Technocrats are mostly interested in borrowing technologies  that are corporate driven and mega projects.Concrete conditions and other features and factors of social realities have been relegated and neglected.The lessons learnt and consequent developments in the area are not taken very seriously.

 As a routine approach, genuine concerns voiced by people and protests by others are brushed aside.This attidude from responsible people, who wield power and pelf certainly going to expose the people to irreparable losses and unending agony in the years to come given the capacity and reliability of such potently dangerous technology.

Boating and Lakes in Puducherry ! Knowledgeable people in Puducherry know about the Lakes in the Region and their water source.About 86 Lakes found in the Union Territory. They are fed by river flows from Tamilnadu. Catchment areas are only in the neighbouring State. Traditionally inland fisherman occupation dependent on these Waterbodies and local back waters. Hand nets and spread nets, sometimes called fan nuts have been used in the past and whenever they brim with the flow. Traffic and Pedestrian Rights It is an open secret that the traffic situation in Puducherry is chaotic.The National Data for road accidents place the Territory in higher risk category. Given it's demography and extent of territory the number of vehicles plying on the road is disproportionate and unmatching.
