Sir,
This has reference to the article, 'State Of Terror' by Seema Mustafa, on 19.01.2008.she has dealt with the subject analytically and incisively. she is forthright and straight in pinning down the gross failure of the Leaders, both in the State and at the Centre. The logic, majority is immaculate and unblemished do not hold water.India is not a Theocratic State, it is Secular, in a wider sense. The Constitution of India states in clear terms that our Country is Secular and it cannot be wished away and interpreted subjectively to suit partisan ends.Larger interest of the people and social harmony among various sections of society shall not be lost sight of.
Whosoever commits wrong, be it majority or minority, subverting law and order, under any circumstances jeopardizing the lives of common man shall be dealt with stubbornly by the Governments. Tackling Communalism of all hues evenly, by the Due Process of Law by enacting a much sought comprehensive legislation on the subject is the need of the hour.

Yours faithfully.
M.Muthukannu.
